Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
Well today was a wonderful snowy day in Kitimat. Finally had to put the snow tires on and wouldn't you know it, 2 hours later there is 6" of snow on the ground. Should have waited till April.

We finally got some snow yesterday, only a few CM's, and most of it has melted already... still havn't got the snow tires on... lucky we run Hankook winter tires all year round, just without the studs.. have 4 brand new studded tires for the winter...
i need to bring my Jeep in for a MVI... one of my ebrake cables is siezed up, and i've got an axle seal leak in the front diff... ofcourse i was going to take care of all of this when i put my 44 in the back, and regear the front to 3.73... ugh

I've got a problem with the rear axle I've never been able to figure out. The rea axle seals last exactly 1 year and then they're leaking again. This has been a yearly thing since I bought it. Really think I need to find a 44 soon.
Another foot of snow overnight and calling for 6-8" more today plus high winds.

im assuming your reassembling it with grease packed into the seal... other thing id look at is any scuffs or grooves around the seal.... also check your vent tube, make sure that thing isn't plugged up.
i know where you can get a Dana 44 cheap... its still sitting in my sun porch lol
East Coast Gear Supply's WJ
6" Clayton long arm, 37" BFG's, and Dana 60's front and back... talk about mean

It's getting tougher to work on the Jeep here, its snowed over 3' this week and when its not snowing its raining still. What a screwed up place weather wise.
I like the pic, showed it to the wife and she just shook her head lol.
If things keep going the way they are I may be calling you on that axle, what gears are in it?

Hubs are so much fun when they haven't been removed in awhile.
First time I did it I was beating on it with a mallet for awhile. Amazing how owning and working on a Jeep can expand your vocabulary occasionally! lol
