Thought about selling the ZJ lol...

local guy is selling his 99 WJ... has a 4.5" IRO lift, 4.7L selling it for $2500... MAN thats a steal on that Jeep... its still in good shape... needs a bit of work but what doesn't... heres a link to his kijiji ad

That is a nice Jeep and you can't complain with the price.
Scored a set of leather buckets and back seat today for 350.00! 10 way drivers seat and 6 way pass seat. Even more butt comfort while off-roading. lol
Just have to wire up the heater controls now and the missus will be happy on those cold snowy days in the mountains.
No luck on a D44 so far though...

i should know something for ya in the next few weeks, calling up the local yards for a new door for the VW... and see if i can score a high pinon D30 with 3.73's for the front... or 44 if the price is right... but will see about a diff for you... everything seems so much cheaper over here, even with shipping costs could save quite a few dollars...

I upgraded to leather when i bought my ZJ... feels like ya slide around abit when your off camber, actually makes the trails feel more fun lol

I recently put some nice new 31x10.50 rlt tires on my jeep.

They give it a 2 inch ride height increase.
I will post pics soon.
I wish most people knew how good jeeps really are.

well i finally got my new wheel bearing installed... have a bad swaybar link too... but am thinking ehh i'll replace it if they catch it on my inspection... I asked about a WJ axle for ya dan... was a premium $800... now theres a few other places around to check this was the expensive yard (but certainly wouldn't have any issues with it) but your probably looking to regear it too right?

My reverse lights arn't working either... grrr last thing i feel like troubleshooting in the cold...

took a look at my cardian joint just to see what was wrong... well a picture is worth a thousand words...



so thats where the clunk is coming from... now to fix it... its funny the ball in the CV is stuck on the other part of the driveshaft... the seal was beyond done...

So dan, i need your new driveshaft more than you do... lol so can i have it LOL

still have to figure out whats up with my reverse switch...

WOW! Surprised that didn't sound more like a jackhammer under there! If you can get to Vernon in the next 2 days you can TRY to get mine. lol
Got the new seats in but haven't hooked up the heaters yet, the gf sure likes having the power seat on the pass side now. Now I just need to find an upholstery shop so I can get some leather dye and re-do them in black. I'll post some pics later today.

It only sounded like a jackhammer going 140 lol hate to see if i had it regeared how much louder it would be lol

$120 on the replacement... wooooh! U joints are in OK shape, i might just degrease and re-grease them... and put it together... they have been in there for a while for sure... it think its best to replace them all... (or the 2 in the double cardian, since they wern't rotating smoothly you can sell ones been worn out more than the other... i'll post a photo of the wear on the universals

Going to replace both of the ujoints on the rear driveshaft, maybe I'll do a write up for it.

what i usually do is upload to facebook's mobile uploads, since everyone seems to have a facebook these days, can get feedback smack talk as i work, good distraction LOL... then i copy the url of the image and post it here... it does add it as an attachment when i add it to the forum...

i've also herd of tapatalk app for like every kinda phone... i think its like $3 for the app, i've heard it will let you upload photo's, havn't tried it out yet though...

i've got to update my gallery though, i've got alot of photo's of my ZJ, rocking new fenders and a door... i have some work to do before hitting the trails... they put on solid full length rockers but they did a **** poor job on reinforcing the underside of the jeep... i might cheat it just because i think i have a few years in the ZJ, then im going to drag up a rust free one... and start over again...

Oh yea got hired on with pinnacle security, just some temporary work, but we'll see if it can turn into something more permanent
