Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
Having another lazy sunny day, rock guarded the bumper this morning so as soon as I'm sure it's dry I'll have to take it out for a couple "poser" shots. lol
In the meantime.

i'll post some pics when i get a chance, basically i need the joint thats in the middle of the double cardian... in between the 2 universals...
and well the jetta might have big issues... when we bought it, i checked the oil, it was a little on the low side, ofcourse being a diesel i had to get the proper oil so i waited and drove it up to CT... and when i go to add it, my stick is empty... and the entire liter brings it back to the point it originally was... so gotta keep an eye on this one...
Luckily... i bought another Jetta TDi... with lower miles, this one was taken off the road by the RCMP, and the owner deemed there too much work to fix it, so they sold it for scrap... soo i am picking it up... for practically nothing... and am going to get everything i possibly can out of it and sell it back to crush it lol

Go to the bottom of the first page Mike, the Spicer part numbers are listed there.
Is it the proper stick, maybe someone put a different one in?

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
My GC had a tranny issue this weekend. Put up a P0700 code. Seems it no longer liked the output sensor on the tranny. Went to local NAPA store and they wanted to sell me 2 new sensors. Neither one was correct as they screwed into the tranny. Mine were bolted in. So after showing them the proper one from a US website they ordered in the correct one. $68 later and 5min. to install, cleared the codes with the generic code reader and back in business.
Gotta love Not taking it to a dealer and getting alot of useless info.

took care of the duplicate for ya.
but yeah, im thinking of investing in a generic code reader... with the ZJ (which i cant do the key trick to pull up codes) and now the TDI (which of course has a check engine light on) plus working in a garage, it could be beneficial to have my own scanner.

Funny about the key trick, it works with the 94 GC but not the 98 and I can do it with the TJ.
I broke down last year and bought a OBDII reader that has the ABS on it too last year and it's actually been a fairly good investment since it gives me access to an expanded online database.

well did my 380k oil change w00t! I keep loosing weights off the my 16" rims... 5.9L ZJ rims..
re balanced them, ofcourse our machine messed up and i had to fix it before i could drive home LOL... these are the most aggravating rims i've ever owned.... i blame it mostly on the cheap tires that are on the jeep... they have a year left on them, might just get rid of them entirely in the spring
I've also got a set of 5 Wrangler 15" rims... BRAND NEW... by brand new i mean they dont have a scuff on them what so ever, and where the tire meets the rim barely have any wear... the spare tire was NEVER driven... and we actually carry the proper weights that fit perfectly to the rim...

Sharp looking, I've always been tempted to sandblast my silverblades and paint them graphite like the rouge rims. Maybe in the spring, just one more thiing the never decreasing list of things to do. lol
