You are as so often the case very very very wrong. JB owns a lot of
tractors and trailers. Call 'em up and ask. Schneider the same. Leased
tractors are usually easy to tell because they aren't the same as the
fleet ones. Schneider's are all Century Class Freightliners except a
few Argosys for the beer runs. JB had "the bus" (Navistar cabovers
with setback axle) for a lot of years, I think they are now
conventionals as well.
It's astounding how you can be so wrong...but funny too because in
this case all anyone has to do is pick up the phone and call JB,
Swift, Schneider, CFI, and tell 'em you wanna be a company
driver...they'll tell you all about their tractors in glowing terms
and on their dime. (Schneider is at 1-800-44-PRIDE)
I know a lot of truckers....and I have a current CDL with all
endorsements except passenger (because I haven't taken the second
driver test in a bus.)I drove trucks for years. Some truckers are fine
people and some are total dumbasses, freaks, and *********, same as
any other job.

I know a long-haul trucker who worked for an outfit back east three years ago
and he was an employee of that company. He didn't lease/own/rent his own truck
it was company owned. They paid for him to get his license.

Geez, again I statement: "all long haul truckers are
owner/operatorated". That's just fact! Talk to a trucker, but you'll
have to go the a truck stop to catch him showering, eating, and/or
changing log books, as he's driving 24/7.
Having a Class "A" license: http://www.----------.com/license.jpg I
know you lied again! We have to pass all the tests for Class "B" before
we may take the Class A tests, to drive a truck. DMV classes and what
they may drive: http://www.----------.com/DMVclasses.jpg The Class A
endorsements are for Tanks, Hazardous Waste, for a couple.

"A company"? Twenty years ago you could have said that about stores
like Safeway, or Sears, but not any more.
