Re: OT: Not Every Trucker Runs Two Logs
Most these drivers would welcome being stopped! They're tired of
paying your taxes! But like the illegal Mexicans working here, the
Department of Transportation look the other way. What do you think would
happen if everyone using two log books, started driving legally? Simple
math should tell you it will take them twice as long to make their
deliveries. There would be an unbelievable run on our stores.

Re: OT: Not Every Trucker Runs Two Logs
However, it's very EASY for me to believe that you once again change the
subject when presented with your own inconsistencies.
If someone can't run a business without gross violation of the law and risk
to public safety, they should find something else to do.
If you break down my salary divided by hours worked, it ends up being well
into three figures per hour. You asked.

Re: OT: Not Every Trucker Runs Two Logs
I think they should stop driving too. As I did, and my
Brother-in-law last year. The problem is who will take their equity. No
one's going to put out a quarter of a million dollars to work for ten
cent an hour.
I averaged sixty an hour from '69 to '85 pumping gas. Burning out,
I decided a truck owner might be something fun to do, and average ten
bucks an hour for the next million miles/ten years, while the local
drivers, like cement mixers, in the teamsters were making twenty five an
hour plus benefits, and home every night.
I like retirement, except medical, like you, I have always pay for
is now up to six hundred a month! Come on sixty five!
