Yes, but you just use one tree and get a block and tackle setup.
Your way would only get you 2:1.

Yes, but you just use one tree and get a block and tackle setup.

folks. the warn 9500i cable snaps at around 8200 pounds of force. the
ramsey 9500 cable snaps at 10000 pounds of force. the warn also runs on for
3 seconds after the button is released. video coming soon.

You are the gent with the small winch right?
Then you maybe should look into a block and tackle setup. Something
like a two pulley block for the tree or anchor vehicle and one pulley at
your front will give something like 6:1 (I think, but am too tired to
think much), times the power or more important in your case 6 times less
load on the winch to move whatever you are trying to move.
You would likely want an extension cable and some strong D rings and a
tree saver to hook it up.
Be careful of the pull ratio and the size of your cable, as Nathan
mentioned, cables do break in the 9-10,000 lb range. I don't know what
yours is rated for, but if it was light, I would get heavy cable for the
winch and use the smaller one doubled for the extension.
