Hi guys,I won a front bumper and it finally came in today
Here's a small write up and some pics.
Thanks Again to LoD for this Great bumper..It's Awesome
First off it arrived via Fed Ex ground all crated up in plywood and 2x4's(no chance of damage during transport)
I had called Chris at LoD and requested the front tube and driving lights, which cost me 80$..good deal!
So i had it shipped to my workplace( I am in charge of a garage at a semi-trailer dealership) so I uncrated the bumper, pulled my Jeep up to a garage door, and removed my front bumper and fog lights, and sway bar cover.
Install was pretty much bolt on the bumper, except the original 4 top bumper bolts are way too long to install on this bumper.I used 1/2" x 1" stainless steel bolts with s/s flats and locks and nuts.
The original bottom bolts fit just fine.
I also wanted to reinstall the front plastic cover that hides the sway bar,but it wouldn't fit without trimming it a bit...so I trimmed it and it fits like a charm.
Next I wanted to keep my original fog lights and there are 2 brackets conveniently welded to the tube..so that's where I put 'em.
(I think I'm going to put smaller ones as they kinda look outta place there)
Finally I had to put my trademark skull with light back on somewhere and I chose the top of the bumper(until I get a winch and may have to relocate it)
I just drilled a couple of 5/16" holes to bolt my bracket on.
To me it looks killer!
(I forgot to repaint my grill at the bottom where I had spot welded it on,tomorrow,I promise.)
Ok so here are the pics....

Re: What did you do to your TJ Today?
If you have a '98 TJ you will know that they came with a seriously weak gas tank skid plate. But did you know that a '03 TJ gas tank skid is way beefier and actually covers the entire tank? Well thats what I did, I installed a '03 gas tank skid on my '98. Much better than my old bashed in one and now I've got full fuel capacity back.
