Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
Been reading the stats on air filters and am going to get a Airraid filter, the K&N actually has the worst rating for filtering out dirt. Even the stock paper filter from the dealership has a better filter rating.

haha... yeah its bad when you can look thru the element and see clear thru, though very small holes... its certainly not a good FILTER... thats why i usually avoid following someone down dusty trails and head in first... or well the first person always has the most fun
im currently looking for employment out in Alberta... wish me luck

kinda got stuck on a downed tree (on my way back down, got over it the first time) i thought i would have drove back over no problems... but balding tires i just slid up it and then when i went to back up and try again, i just set it down on the axle... CRAP!
this is why i say carry an axe in your jeep!
cut it down the rest of the way, used that other log to pry it straight, drove over it, and got it out of the way...

Yea it actually pretty lousy that day... was misting the entire time, but the trail is so overgrown (it had been 10 years since i had gone up! and it looked like i was the last!) super steep, cliff to the side, rocky, a few "steps" to tackle, a swift river to forge, and nowhere to turn around. good times that day... today im out in PEI checking out a new job. so far looks good but i need a spot to go wheelin

Would such a place exist in PEI? I suppose you could rent the Jeep as a plow then you could go do donuts in the fields. Good luck with the job hunt.

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
Well my WJ is either trying to drive me crazy or bankrupt me.
In the last 1 1/2 months both rears axle shafts and bearings have been replaced, new rotors/ pads all the way around. Went out wheelin on the weekend and both rear wheels are squealing again just like before everything was fixed.
Pulled everything apart last night and it all seems good. No gouging, nicks, or visible scrapes.
While all 4 tires where off the ground I put it in drive and not a bloody sound...
So I think this afternoon I'm going to start checking for a cracked axle tube.

Just Empty Every Pocket man.
tommorow mines heading into the garage to get the tranny pulled, finally going to get around to sealing up that nasty crack i had put into it...
theres definetly few places to wheel on PEI, its a boggers dream over there though and that red soil would make them happy... but i rather crawl and head up cliffs so its not the place for me...
and unforuntately that job isnt panning out yet... they havn't got back to me yet anyway...
somethings gotta work out my way.... ive got my jeep paid up to the end of next month... i've got to find something before then or their going to be coming for it!

Well that just bites, hopefully something works out for you.
I don't like wheeling in heavy mud. To easy to break something, I like the trails and some rock climbing where you can see exactly what your getting into.

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
If the Jeep's going to act typically, if I want the rear end to stop squeaking I'll have to change the leaky valve cover gasket. Throw money at an unrelated problem and the other will self correct.
