Well it's been a good news bad news weekend so far :), went wheeling around Jaffre, BC for the long weekend. Lots of fun other than the weather changes every 2 minutes, got a little cool and damp in the tent.
Managed to do some damage to the WJ, seized the front driveshaft u-joint (had to pull it out on the trail) and bent the rear axle shaft on the passenger side. Still trying to figure out how I did that one, and I have a irritating squeaking noise from the rear driver's wheel.
On a good note my TB is finally here and I can pick it up tomorrow.

if your not breaking things your not having fun thats the rules lol...

i finally got around to properly mounting my exhaust adding that additional hanger per axle, all annoying thunks and vibrations are gone!

spent way too much money at the pressure washers using the vaccum cleaner to get out the co-pliots mess... i've never seen soo much stupid pet hair in my life... UNDER my back seats... just filthy... i gave up and went to the dollar store and bought a few rolls of the lint and hair remover refills... and am just going to cover every inch of the jeep with it lol... i swear it has to be easier

other than that its been a slow day... i've got an old friend in town so its clean up the heap (still has mud everywhere) but still got complements... haha ofcourse theres no rust on it... its never seen salt... boy thats going to change...

Hey guys Im pretty new to this form thing I got My 2001 jeep gc in january, of this year, I have changed a few neglected parts from the last owner, bur the only thing that I have changed is that I put hanook Dynapro Mt on will have pictures soon, plan on putting a 4 or 5 inch long arm suspension soon hope before the end of year, right now my fund are going on building my 1964 CJ5A but I want my CG as a conpanion to my CJ, all the photos that I see I already have a 2 inc lift, could be wrong, still go wheeling with it every chance I get, also want to get some stronger bumpers that will complement the GC but able to get a winch tucked in that won't be visible to anyone but true jeepers, and a rear wheel carrier (all still in development) and a real roof rack I don't know what the enginirees thot when they deisigned these roof racks but I find them useless once I figure one out
I will let you know, this weekend I plan to buff out all scraches out so I can document all the scraches that I put on, I'm pretty impress on what I can do with it now, can't wait to find out its limit's so I can inprove on it, So lets wheel hard and show all the soccer moms what this jeep can actualy do,

Later
Dany

Hi Dany, Welcome to the forum. The WJ's are great but still not a lot of aftermarket parts for them compared to the other Jeeps. If you've got the spacers like the pic then you've got a 2/2.5" spacer lift. My Jeep's getting a good case of Rocky Mountain pinstriping, one of these days I guess I'll have to consider painting it and starting a new set.

If weather hold out I will give my GC a good rub out to get all previouse scraches out so I can start out fresh, and looked at those pictures ant I don't have any spacers, and still taller that any jeep of same year, I would like to know what the previouse owner did, can't see what but will find out, I want to convince the wife to put a 4 inch lift long arm, still working on it should work when I show her what a jeep can do, with my stock CJ5a can do at the end of summer, when she won't be able to follow me,as for the rest I work in a Aviation fab shop so I am slowly making a front bumper to replace the front bumper for an aluminium one that I can put a hide a winch that would replace the stock bumper, but not sacrifice the airbags and function of the trans cooler, I wil keep posted, but the first thing I want to address is the roofrack Its to unfonctional that once I get over the giltches for My 64 CJ5A I want to crate a roofrack that works with a WJ that is bolt on application and that actuatly works and not just looks good from factory,if interested let me know, I can work on any project if worth wild but for now I consintrating on my CJ5, but if there is a great enought demande I could get other projects going,

Got the bored out throttle body on last night and it definately has made a differance, have to learn to be a lot lighter on the go pedal now and the RPM's have dropped about 2-300 while cruising.
Now if I could just get my new shocks away from Customs I'd be really happy.

lol forgot about the rpm drop... when i was on the highway it used to be 2.3k and now its down at 2k... must be saving gas eh? but yea she definetly breathes better... i have a hard time not laying into it every time i leave a light lol... do you have a CAI aswell... im kind of wondering if a spacer is going to do anything at all... i'll build one before i ever bought one... but kinda wonder i know having a larger manifold and plenum help but ya know... still cant be too significant

Silly me, I bought the Airraid spacer a couple of years ago since I was to busy to make one. When I bought it they said that it was 63mm and when I installed it I never even looked at it. Just measured it before I went to put the new TB on and wouldn't you know it 52mm!!!!!!! Even smaller than the stock TB, took it over to a buddy's place and he's going to punch it out to 63mm for me.
Washed the K&N this morning so have to see if that helps at all to.
So far I'm happy with it. It is on the pedal and the cruise doesn't kick up and down like it used to.
Now I just need to get in the dirt and see if it really makes a difference where it counts.

i've got to order a K&N kit, like they have the one that comes in the box, which is good for taking care of the filter a couple times, but when its an exposed element outside i need the big can and spray bottle... since my filter gets NASTY since its in the flow of the air, i have to rotate it a few times before i clean it...

stitched up the holes too
