changed the glow plug on cylinder 3. Not difficult but the amount of stuff you have to remove to get to it is a pain in the bum but even then it only took about half an hour, including the time it took to find my really long, long nose pliers.

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
Started an oil change on Friday, stupid little plastic piece that holds the tiny O ring was broken and the earliest possible replacement is Monday. Now my son is not happy as the truck is blocking access to the lift in his garage and I am not happy as I don't have anything to drive (don't have snowflake tyres for my other truck and the heater sucks). You would have thought Mercedes would have used something stronger for a critical engine part. rant off.

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
Well that was an expensive oil change, 120 for oil, 25 for the filter, 85 for the filter cap that broke, plus the frustration of not having the truck for three days. I was still complaining to myself as I approached the highway to come home, it was busy so I had to give her a little throttle to get up to highway speed quickly and as the arrival of boost sank me into my seat and the woosh of the turbo eminated from under the hood it all seemed worth it. All is forgiven. Now it I can figure out how to cancel the perform service notice we'll be golden, tried the fourth method so far.

It was not today it was last week but whatever, changed back to the summer tyres and changed pads and rotors on the front. Now the front left tpms sensor appears to be not transmitting, pain in the bum.

starting my list tonight:
rear shocks
rear sway bar links
rear sway bar bushings
rear coils springs
coil spring insulators uppers & lowers
both front CV axels
steering stabilizer
oil & filter change
I'm at 447,000 kms on her shooting for 500K
2000 GC Limited
4.7L still has lots O power and gets decent gas mileage. I did a run 2 weeks ago to Sudbury and back and I got to 12 L per 100K in the snow!!
