picked up a Superchips VIVID programmer for my Jeep... should be good for a few HP on the old 4.7L 21HP & 20ftlbs of torque... plus speedo correction for the bigger tires i'll be putting on shortly... and speed up the slushbox automatic in this thing...

also got my antenna installed... should have a replacement amplifier come in tomorrow to push the new speakers a little more... sounds really good since i put a bit of dynamat in the doors while i was at it...

thinking about a new double din headunit... but i dunno
might take the double din out of my VW and put it in the Jeep lol

 

What head unit's in there now?

 

The factory cd player with tape deck, and cd changer in the back...

in my VW i had installed a Pioneer AVH-X2500BT it works pretty good... dont know how silly i want to go, id like to get something that can mirror my phone on the dash... i think that would be awesome... or not lol

was checking under my hood all my evap rubber lines are cracked and dry rotted away... not throwing codes, but still fun to see...

 

Ordered just a 2" budget boost, since my WJ has Upcountry springs that havn't sagged, im looking at sitting around 3" higher than a base model... and that i can live with...

I ordered shocks for a tuned 2-3" lift should be right where i want it..

im just thankful i already have the double cardian front driveshaft on my Jeep.

Also ordered up some gear for this that and the other thing... just getting silly with my WJ now lol

 

If this winter ever goes away we all might be able to get something done.

 

Our snowbanks have dropped considerably in the last few days... the driveway is back down to gravel... had to make a few trenches thru the ice with the axe to get it to drain correctly, my entire driveway was a massive puddle up to the rim on my VW lol... would have been bad if it froze over...

tried to find someone that can tune my CB antenna for me, which proved extremely difficult, nobody had a SWR meter... so i ended up ordering one aswell...

cellphone reception is pretty lousy around here, and every other pick up truck has a CB antenna on it, i dont know how a shop isn't up and running around here...

 

Parked it in my neighbors driveway, and he washed it, woo hoo, shiny.

 

So yeah 2 Din is going in, im hacking it up now... lots of room inside the dash now... its the spacing and angle of the brackets... im trying to figure out how it will sit in the dash piece, im thinking big holes and washers so i can adjust it real easy and lock it in lol...

going to put some bondo on the holes to the left and right of the unit and smooth it all up... going to end up loosing the woodgrain... unless i can find some vinyl lol... but i have some carbon fiber vinyl, or just paint it black... should look good when im done...

Also picked up steering wheel controls adapter...

also was reading on some dyno results with similar mods and a tune, the guys got 40ftlbs of torque on a performance 87 octane tune, only thing they added that i dont have is a throttlebody spacer, so i ordered one up aswell... got one for a Dakota 4.7L off Electronic Bay for $60... looks identical to a AirRaid spacer that goes for $140...
(i have my doubts about it i know the pre 99-04 intake manifolds actually NEED the additional plenum volume, so i went as cheap as i could on it lol)

All i have left to order is Addco rear swaybar, extended swaybar links, new shocks (still trying to figure out which ones i want) and adjustable track bar...

 

looks good, what did the original bezel look like? Did you get a stand alone backup camera or one that integrates with the head unit?
