Lots of metal flakes in my oil and an awful noise... pulling the pan tomorrow...

im not even that upset, i wanted to park it and rebuild it... now i actually have to... just sooner than expected....

Debating on looking into swapping in a second gen 4.7L motor, although without the PCM i probably wouldn't see the full performance increase and its a drive by wire, which would be a pain to integrate to a WJ...

still annoyed that i gotta sort it out now that the damage is done...

It was redone in 2008 the 4.7L had 305 hp, and 334 lb·ft... which is pretty big compared to the WJ HO...

it was even more of a Semi Hemi, it had 16 spark plugs (which is just a delayed ignition for complete burn), higher compression, i know that i can modify the intake manifold and other things to fit my H.O. im thinking if i can get the adapter plate to put on my 03 Throttle body, i could be in good shape for having it atleast run in my jeep...

need look into this more thats for sure...

the WJ is lookin pretty good, brother... I've been plagued with lots of little problems lately with mine, but it's still getting me to work everyday lol...cash has been tight, but I absoposilutively HAVE to get my DS ball joints replaced as well as the one in the rear. lots of bump & wind steer, and white knuckle wincing over every pothole and blip in the pavement.

makes the morning commute more interesting though...lol
it just needs to hold together for a couple more weeks, then I can get the work done.

you guys still chatting sunday nights?

Hey Trigger, where the heck have you been, you have been missed on Sunday night.
Crazy, I don't think there is a 4.7 after 2007. just the six and the 5.9. Don't know how much power my 2006 has but it's seriously quick if you lean on the skinny pedal.
Don't forget it's Sunday, I might be late getting into the chat but I will be there.
