Actually, the next engine I'm planning is the Air engine. No moving parts,
nothing to get worn, don't even need gas. Can run for days/weeks/years
without a single worn part. Of course it doesn't go very fast unless you
push it down hill.

Did the same thing in my Ford van a few years back. Took it for a short test
drive after chaning oil, and all seemed well. After parking in the driveway I
notice this trail of oil leading out to the street. One trail, not two.
Obviously the "double gasket" held for a little while then let loose leaving a
trail when I returned, but not when I left...
Never did get to nill oil pressure on that one, and now I always check the old
filter for the gasket...
