Re: Tire Rotation
It 'could' have been a defective tire, but I was informed that the tires
had been freshly rotated so I figure a spade is a spade and the shop
used the tire makers way.
It happens 'way' too often for me to think they are all just defects. I
mean think of how many times you read here that the 'death wobble' was
caused by a 'defective' tire.....

It 'could' have been a defective tire, but I was informed that the tires
had been freshly rotated so I figure a spade is a spade and the shop
used the tire makers way.

used the tire makers way.
It happens 'way' too often for me to think they are all just defects. I
mean think of how many times you read here that the 'death wobble' was
caused by a 'defective' tire.....

Re: Tire Rotation
Cross-rotating radials definitely used to be a big problem which is why
so many still persist in saying cross-rotating them is a bad idea. But
that hasn't been a problem in many years since radial tire manufacturers
figured out they were using bias-ply tire manufacturing techniques that
weren't compatible with the newer radial tires. Since they all
abandoned the old manufacturing methods, and again this has been many
years now, there have been no problems cross-rotating radial tires like
there used to be. No jive, no rumor. :)

weren't compatible with the newer radial tires. Since they all

so many still persist in saying cross-rotating them is a bad idea. But
that hasn't been a problem in many years since radial tire manufacturers
figured out they were using bias-ply tire manufacturing techniques that
weren't compatible with the newer radial tires. Since they all
abandoned the old manufacturing methods, and again this has been many
years now, there have been no problems cross-rotating radial tires like
there used to be. No jive, no rumor. :)
