Hi Farrell,

I have an auto 05 rubicon running 33's with the stock 4.10 (or 4.11?)
gearing, with all the extra junk, winch bumpers, jack, trail rack,
etc, etc. My next mod will be to go to 4.56 if I don't ever go to
35's. I don't know how the manual trans equates to my auto, but my
jeep is NOT happy at all on any type of incline loaded with gear for
the trail. Over drive? whats that. hehe! something to consider
anyway.

Take care,

When I changed gears in my CJ I had to go to a new carrier, think it cost
me 90 buck Canadain, new, not even worth ebaying now that I've gone to a
detroit, ( replaces carrier ) here's a site that list CJ or YJ carier at
$49.00 http://www.rocky-road.com/jeepdrive.html If you can find a machanic
that works after hours, a gear change is not that much, for example although
not a gear change, same has to be done to install a full locker, my
daughter's 9" was $50.00 to install a detroit, she took third member to him,
her front lock right was $100.00, the detroit in my AMC 20 was $175.00
because I needed new bearings, my Ox locker in front was $200.00, (
different machanic that time )
