I believe your Real Jeep was manufactured in '69 and titled the
year it was sold as all utility vehicles and road tractors were back
then. The '70 model manufactured by AMC, not Kaiser, also moved the gas
tank, and gave the 44 one piece axles:

year it was sold as all utility vehicles and road tractors were back
then. The '70 model manufactured by AMC, not Kaiser, also moved the gas

Hmmm.....
Have you tried a multimeter on it to see what it might do?
What color are the wires going to it and is the one disconnected all the
time with no ill effects?
Can you find the other end of the 'brown'? wire if that's the color?
I see a mess of 'custom' wiring.... That can mean duplicate parts.
The ammeter doesn't use a resistor.
The wipers use a circuit breaker....
