Sweet bumper man, on my old WJ i ended up shaving off the foglight area on the stock bumper for more approach angle... but this new jeep im definetly thinking something solid!!

holy crap my 4.7L only gets 12.6 MPG measured at the tank... first tank wasn't bad because it was all highway... around 17mph... but 12.6MPG ouch... forgot what it was like owning a jeep eh? hopefully some major service will get that number back up a bit...

so far i really enjoy having the V8 power...
my brother is replacing the Manaflow exhaust on his Mustang GT (which manages 26MPG average) so i might be replacing the stock muffler on my Jeep soon lol

It's difficult to get good fuel consumption out of the 4.7 around town, partly due to the fact that it makes such a nice sound when you give it some welly, to say nothing about the way it sinks you into the seat. You can't have everything, vroom, vroom, oh yes.

Yeah my 4.0L was 20-24mpg, with all the mods on it... had alot of power... but nothing like this.. its going to need a real good cleaning when i get home in more ways than one, the intake manifold is disgusting... so i'll take a few days and just give it the once over...

had the shop i used to work at replace the transmission pan, replace a tie rod, stablizer and ofcourse throw an alignment at it... so when i get home from saskatchwan in a few weeks i'll have something to go play with in the bit of snow we get...

Well.... I went to mr lube and got an engine oil flush and clean. They gave new wipers for free as part of a promotion they are doing. They wanted 120 dollars for a rear dif change of oil which is too steep. Anyone know how you change the diff both front and back so i could maybe save some coin. I need to change both front and back diffs oil.. Oil looks real dirty.

Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks.

By the way, can i ask what mods you did to your GC? I would love to have more hp out of mine. And the mileage on mine is like 12 mpg. I would rather upgrade my engine components than change to v8.

Thanks.

Changing diff oil is usually done by removing the cover, due to there not being a drain hole. It can however be done by sucking out the oil through the fill/level hole.
