Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
Im about to rip out my radio... the cd player hates playing any track after 6 or 7... CD changer works fine, but i was going to delete the cd changer and make it a auxilary input for sirius or cellphone, ipodpad whatevers...
its either that or im going to start piecing together aftermarket stuff, so long as i can get my steeringwheel controls functioning i'd be happy...

Steering wheel controls I don't need but I would like to get the bluetooth working. Had a go at it today without success , I made the mistake of reading the instructions first, now I'm completely lost.

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
you can keep the steering wheel controls, but you will have to find an adapter harness that will work with your new head unit... i no longer have the link, but if you search for head units specific to your vehicle, you will likely find what you need... i will try to find some more info for you as well...

i've found these little guys for integrating products...will have to read into it more... pac-audio.com
its at the very bottom of the list...
for that kinda money, i think i can live without the steering wheel controls... lol

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
for me, i like the idea of retaining as much of the factory functionality as possible, but let's face it, most high-end head units will likely come with a remote of some kind.
this link isn't the one i was mentioning earlier, but there are some interfaces there that are cheaper than the PAC ones (although they sell them too...)
my problem is i don't like ordering online, i prefer to deal face-to-face when it comes to purchasing this sort of thing... i may pay a little more than online, but in the end, i know exactly what i'm getting before paying for it.
