Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
Usually people complain that the steering is loose. The only thing off the top of my head that may make it feel that way is the steering stabalizer possibly binding, anything else would be making some kind of noise.
The t/c in the pic was the factory 242 for WJ's, not at home right now or else would be able to tell you what it came out of.
Glad to hear the motor is together and running well, hope you get a lot of use out of your Jeep.

Discovered the vagueness issue. 30psi in LT245 75 16. Cranked them to 70psi problem solved.
Hooked onto flatbed car trailer, made long haul to St.john and picked up a 97 Dodge Ram 1500 extended cab. Floated it back to son in laws place. Jeep ran it down the highway like nothing. 4.7 is a beasty little engine.
Going to drain the 5W 20 today and dump in 10W 40.
What I did to my GC.today.

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
Went to get a new set of Firestone Destination M/T's today and every tire shop that I called was out of stock. Needless to say I was not a happy camper until one of them called me back and gave me a killer deal on a set of Destination A/T's. 5 tires mounted and balanced for 200.00 a tire. My Jeep has a new pair of shoes!
Nice to see some places still go out of their way for customers.

Hey Mike, Welcome back!
Yeah the market still sucks out here to, there are a couple jobs pulling wire/ terminating in the Okanogan and southern Alberta but other than that it's still pretty slow.

Just landed myself 2 jobs (one being an overnight stint...) but will be nice to have an income again... sheesh... 6 months is TOUGH without a paycheck...
I fear i may have an odd attraction to the Jeep Compass, Rallye... atleast... dealer has it here in black, and wants $25k for it... could probably talk him down a little but that for a daily driver... would beat the Pontiac Grand Am, would it not!
its that or go down and pick up my ZJ say thanksgiving... ugh... lol
thats about the soonest i'll have a GC again :-(

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today
He's ALIVE!!!! :)
Nothing wrong with a ZJ and just think of the rally car you could make out of the Compass. Got offered a job in Dartmouth but not sure I want to relocate across the country... I start to get the jitters if I can't see mountains at least once a month. Don't have to make my mind up till April though so will have to see what happens.
By the way, 2 guy's over on JF have managed to put NV3500's into their WJ's using the trans, 242 T/C, PCM and front harness from 1994 Dakotas
