Right on buddy welcome to the board.

today is a little cosmetic work... its raining real bad but i got the jeep and the dog in the car port with me...

my front bumper/fender has been a little off since my last accident... i knew it was going to make it hell to remove the headlight... well i was right... when my running light burnt out. i barely squeezed the headlight out, and broke a piece in it aswell.

so i've got the whole front end apart and im regapping the front half of my fender to space it out more so i can remove the headlight easily...

on other news
my dog got attacked by the neighbours pittbull the other morning... got the cops out, and if it ever happens again he's getting arrested because its not the first time its attacked someones dog, but he has made efforts to keep his dog in its pen... so theres no excuses for it happening again, the cops will see it as allowing the aggressive dog loose to attack deliberately. go directly to jail, do not pass go, do not collect $200

Sorry to hear about your dog man. Keep in mind its not the breed but the irresponsible owners who are at fault. I own a pitbull and she's really docile. She got attacked by a german sheppard a few months ago and has scars on her head and neck. Vicious dogs should be kept on a leash at all times.

I've got a Rottweiler, so its not like he's defenseless. he has been attacked by a pitt before, and looked at me like what do i do? he's never attacked or acted aggressively towards me, or anyone or anything else. its just i think he was sleeping when he was attacked... he got the pitt pretty good, you know how deep wounds just pool at the top of the skin... yeaa thats the pitts face, and a few chunks taken out. he's lucky because i just put in a new massive 6ft anchor, and new stranded cable run, theres no breaking any of that... the collar is the weakest link, and its 1 1/2" leather!

I just wish i had witnessed it... cause i would have ended his dogs life right then and there...

Some good news, the bumper is on good and straight... had to stack 3 washers to bring out the fender where i needed it, but its lining up perfect now, headlight fits with no problems... its all thanks to some shoddy body shop work...

im thinking of modifying my plastic bumper... since im missing a chunk of it infront of the lower radiator support... im thinking of chopping it at one of the contour lines above the foggers... it would give me a better approach angle :p be about the same thickness as an aftermarket bumper too, so i could get used to that lol

Like I said, I wouldn't blame the dog. If I were you I would kick the **** out of the neighbor.

Poor training (Or no training) is the fault of the owner. I'd kick his *** before the dogs.

Although, I also understand that if a dog is set in it's ways, there might not be much that can be done to fix it...I'd still be going after the owner before the dog though.

That said, I hope you dog is alright. I love rotties! One of these days I'd like to get one (or two) rotts of my own...

Oh he went on how it was a champion blood line dog... his dog is great around people... just not other dogs... thats why he needs to be quick on his toes and not let him loose.

my dog is just flat out tough... and he's trained well (except the damn rotti in him that wants to know what EVERYTHING is, he'll quickly wonder off so i've got to keep him on the leash...
when he breaks off though its the funniest thing, he'll either walk up to you really low to the ground... or hide under the steps and sooo scared cause he thinks he's done something wrong lol.

Years ago, he kicked the basketball into the grill of my 5.9L Dakota RT, ran to his yard started talking ****... i told him say one more thing and im punching him in the face... needless to say he was running into the house, i opened up the door his grandmother was standing behind her and i flat out cold clocked him

Not afraid to do it again either.

Anywho right now im working on On Board Air for my WJ, I found everything i needed out in the shop... i figure i might as well use it for something i stand a chance actually using...I've used A/C 3 times in my WJ, twice just to see if it still worked, and the third as a inside joke... And all the fittings are from when we got our air compressor a few years ago, and it already had everything on it... so yea...

I've got the compressor out, getting ready to tap my fittings together and build the oiler and filter tonight and proably do my regulators and nonsense afterwork tommorow...

Well I had a panic situation this morning....

Went to unlock and noticed the interior lights were on...hmmmmmmm

So I unlocked as normal and started her as normal....
Went to pull away and the gauge dropped to 10v and the warning lights started to appear..

YIKES!!!!!! what the heck...Brand new battery and alternater 3 weeks ago...
As I drove with the lights and heater on the gauge started dropping..
7 miles away as I dropped wifey at work, the gauge was now reading " 0 "
Everything still ran as normal, no dimming of lights or any sign that the charging sytem was failing.
Hmmmmmm...

Got back home, shut her down then she started back up like normal and the gauge had jumped back up to 10v.
Let her sit till 2:30 then checked with an ohm metre.

12.3v with the key OFF
14.3 with the engine RUNNING..
So I am at my wits end with this as electrical diagnostics is not my major, but I am not afraid to tackle it....

Then I realized my back liftgate lock doesn't work with key or switch...
Hmmmmmmm....Now what?

LOL....still had a good day and hope for a better one tomorrow..
