My guess would be 1 of the 2 (or both) solenoid's in the tranny since they regulate the pressure going to the clutch packs. If you know someone who can do a diagnostic for you the fix is easy. Might show up with a OBD2 reader but probably need to find someone with a DRB.
If it is the solenoids and you want to do it I can scrounge you up a how to with pics.

My buddy is gonna call his friend who works in a tranny shop to check it out for me....so hopefully it's a fairly cheap fix, but I'll let y'all know what's going on once they check it out...At least the timing was alright, the wife just got a new car, so I kept her old one to drive to work and back....

I hear ya there, the lower mainland isn't somewhere where I would want to be without a vehicle.
If it is the solenoids their not that expensive and take about 1.5 hours to change, the majority of the time is just dropping the pan to get at them.
Hope it turns out to be something cheap to fix.

Fun fun day, secretary is out with the week with the swine flu, the idiots are comin out of the woodwork, the sewer is backing up and I'm not getting anything done on the Jeep. It's definately a Monday on a Tuesday.

I spent today this wonderful sunny 26C afternoon straightening out my Dana 30...

i forgot the memory stick for the camera in my laptop at home, so all i have is 2 stills before it was completely straight... i was hoping to film it incase the chains break.

http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos...0_175206_n.jpg

what sucks is i was careless when i placed my chain and bent one side of my lower control arm bracket, you really cant tell in this pic but you might be able to spot it... but thats easy enough to bend back into position.

now i can slide my axle in and out with ease, it appears to be just a tiny bit high, but i imagine when the full weight of the jeep gets on it it will be right on the money.

it's 3:30AM, i just finished torquing everything down, at a cool 13C im still not wearing a sweater :-P

i start working tomorrow, nothing decent to say the least... but income... god knows my bank account is pretty pissed at me... so a few bucks to fund some nonsense, should be great :alcoholic:

Fixed. Didn't make it out of my garage before I got it up and running again, which is nice because I didn't end up having to spend too much money.

New T.P.S. seems to have sorted things out!:3gears:

After the Jeep started running properly again, by garage door broke and came crashing down, so I guess the next thing I get to fix is that...Never a dull moment.

It never seems to end does it? The joy's of home ownership and responsibility. Between that and Jeeps it's amazing we can afford to do anything! lol

Re: What Did You Do To Your GC Today

Its a good trick if ever you bend it out on a trail... im still replacing it as soon as i can... but atleast this way i can sort out the new axle and maybe build it up and put in a locker before i throw it in... i've found recently built rear Dana 44's down here sometimes $600 with a Detroit Locker installed and 4.88 gears and new axle shafts...

dana 44 housings front and back $100 (dont know if their springs or coil)

what im really looking at is a stock 02 WJ Dana 44 3.73 geared Varilock Limited Slip, $400 OBO.
