I painted mine black after the test fit, they work well had to replace one after following behind a semi on a gravel road. But they work well for keeping the bugs from implanting themselves into the rad on the highway.

I did the grill today after wanting to do it for about a year, seeing all you guys talk about it made me decide I should finally do it. Was really easy actually I thought it would have been more of a headache. I also picked up a full upcountry suspension which I'll be putting in this week since I think my springs are sagging because with my 2" bb I seem to be sitting at the height of stock GC's so that should give me a decent lift and also picked up a whole bunch of spare parts that I'll have for sale in the next few days after I go through them.

I also want to wetsand and polish my headlights so they look like new, they look like crap right now.

That looks pretty sharp Jared, my grill was silver so when I pulled it all apart I mounted them on the backside so you don't really notice them until your up close.

Thanks I'm really happy with it, especially for only 12 bucks and enough material to do about 3 more, would be more but I screwed up a few trying to figure out the best way to do it, I'm still not 100% happy with it because i couldn't figure out how to hide the screws that go on the bottom of the grill but I'm also a perfectionist and should just relax lol. Kinda thinking about making a template and then just making and selling them on ebay or something haha.

did the rear seat fold up mod, with the removable pins (had wingnuts on there cause i was lazy)... OMG is this ever going to make cleaning the seats after the co-pilot gets mud all over them easier... i can just bring them inside and clean them!

and i ripped apart me 63mm throttle body and FINALLY got it to stop sticking closed... used to have to give the go pedal a good tap to get it going...

cleaned up the idle air control valve too, was getting pretty dirty in there... just have to bolt it back on and slap on the air intake...

used some needle nose pliers to close up the hole i found in my air filter, and stitched it up so it wont open back up... going to send an email to K&N and see what we can do about it... it really looks like normal wear and tear, and when i washed it the material went missing...

i just got my hands on a 350 chevy sb... wonder what i can do with that :)

The seat mod was definitely one of those "doh" moments. When you see it you go why didn't I think of this before?
Hopefully K&N will do something for you, not cheap to replace. Hell, just put some duct tape over the hole. If anyone asks just tell them it's a filter by-pass.

Whoever came up with the idea that work should start early in the morning needs to be drug out back and shot.
Hoping that my new TB will be here before the weekend. Planning a trip around Cranbrook with some friends this weekend, I want to see if it will actually make a difference in the low end on the trails.

Jared, when your finished wet sanding your headlights get some Meguires Plast-X Wax (Walmart) and give them a good coat. It will help fill in the little sanding marks and make it easier to get the bugs/ mud off them. Just give them a coat once every other month.

it kinda makes me want to go wheel around a stock GC just so i can figure it all out.. i know im considerably faster off the line than a stocker... but still just what it feels like lol

i just dont understand how my dog has lost soo much hair in my jeep... its boggling my mind... i was thinking about putting up a fence to contain him back in the cargo area its getting so bad... but then i cant stand those stupid barriers...
