So, Chrysler isn't resposnible for me believing what they told me?
It's my fault that I should assume everything in their literature is
-------- and I didn't?
Fine. As I said, I will never again buy a DaimlerChrylser vehicle.
Their E500 Sedan looks nice, but that is only if one assumes that they
come with seats and an engine and paintjob. I woudln't want to make
it MY problem that I bought the WRONG car, stupidly assuming that it
acutally came with those parts just because it is shown in the
commercials, expressed in their literature, and promised to me by the
dealer.

I might, and so would a lot of other people, if the car was repeatedly
advertised and proclaimed by the manufacturer as a super-duper amazing
cargo hauling vehicle.

your in the wrong place to stop people here from buying Jeeps. Although man
of us own non DC jeeps Many more own DC built products, and it would take
more than someone taken to the cleaners by an unscroupulous salesman (not
many of those) to change our minds...
PS thanks for the laughs.

Perhaps you should do more research on your intended vehicle than just
watching the ads on TV...

:
: unlike jeeping, IRS on a utility quad is exactly what you want. atv's
that
: dont have IRS use a swing arm that has ZERO articulation. based on this,
: the IRS is superior. the exception to this being the old arctic cat line
: (which is what i have, up through '02) uses an axle set up very similar to
a
: tj (solid axle with 4 control arms and no swing arm). this worked very
well
: but was dropped in favor of 4 wheel independent suspension because thats
: what the market demands.
:
: to answer your question, the grizzly 660 is an AWESOME utility quad, i
: wouldnt hesitate to get one for a second. in fact, the yamaha rhino that
im
: getting when theyre available in october
: http://www.yamaha-motor.com/products...?lid=12&lc=sxs is based
: on the 660 drivetrain.
:
I have about 10 minutes experience with the IRS on the 660 and it felt
squishy - I rode it in the parking lot at the dealer. What I noticed was
when taking fairly sharp turns you would get too much body roll and you had
to corner more like a 3-wheeler than a quad. Typically with a quad, the
outside front dives and the inside rear dangles on a hard corner and you
have a better feel for its limitations. With the Grizzly, you get full body
roll to the outside and by the time you reach the point of no return, there
is nothing you can do to save it. I'm sure with technique and experiance you
could throw the Grizzly around like a swingarm setup but it's not foolproof.
At 30-40 km/h the Grizzly felt REALLY squishy. I know it's not a racer but I
had a Kodiak 400 doing 85 km/h on a loose gravel / sandy trail and it felt
like it was on rails. I was also REALLY impressed with its lateral
stability... while climbing one of those trails we all avoid in the Jeeps -
45 degree incline taken at a 45 degree angle... there were moments I was at
full lock right to keep moving and I never once felt like it was going to
dump. There is no way in hell I'd try that with IRS.
Granted, the IRS would excell in really rugged terrain... logs/rocks... but
I think the Kodiak 450 might be a better fit for me. I like technical trails
AND flat out 2wd white knuckle fun! Maybe I need a Raptor AND a Grizzly LOL.

Why should they? Chrysler is expected to do one thing, and that's try to
sell product. Educating people is far, far behind that in importance. A
sale's a sale.
