Re: UPDATE: DC response to my first email request for build list UNBELEIVEABLE!
Wow.... my dealership gave me a build sheet without me even asking for
it. I went there to pick up a new tie rod (bent mine), and figured I'd
pick up some touch up paint for a rock ding. Guess they wanted to be
sure they got the right color, so they printed the sheet, looked it
over, then gave me the sheet and the paint.

Re: UPDATE: DC response to my first email request for build list UNBELEIVEABLE!
Hey Folks,
I was told on the phone that all recalls were done on the car, and that they
have no way of printing and sending, or emailing the build list....but I
know that is not true. I believe the Canadian Customer assist got my email
and call. I want to try sending to the US Customer assist( i.e. where you
guys sent your request). I did send a simple request the second time and
have gotten no answer yet.
I have ordered the owner's manual and have been told I should get it by the
end of the month.
Thanks for all the input.

Recall service history seems to be system-wide, if my `89 Cherokee is any
indication. The local dealer was able to find out with a few keystrokes
if all recall work had been done to mine after I bought it from a used car
lot. I'd imagine that records of non-mandated work (oil changes,
out-of-warantee repairs, etc.) is kept only in the servicing dealership.

True, or you could be someone working for a law office on a fishing
expedition. From a target's point of view there's no value in assisting
you.
