TJ engine swap - 4.0 to something with better MPG?

Bill,
I think your being awfully hard on him. I'd say he's not so much a troll,
rather an uninformed owner who was looking for some advice in a place where
you'd expect to get a "polite" and knowledgeable answer. All most everyone
did was flame the ---- out of him. No wonder he's pissed. That kind of thing
happens in this NG alot lately. I've been reading and posting here for the
past six or seven years and I've noticed a marked decline in civility.
Lighten up guys. Read, think, type, think again, edit, read it as if you
asked the question then edit again. Then send.

My thoughts exactly. No evidence of trolling by the OP. I've been reading
this group for only a few weeks but have noticed the attitude.
[For that matter, Chevy can somehow get 20+ MPG with the new 400 HP
Corvette.]

Hi Rich,
When you were buying your Jeep was gas mileage apart of your
criteria. Sure, I'm buying a Vette with an LT1 for the mileage.

Re: TJ engine swap - 4.0 to something with better MPG?
Bill,
I agree, you and I bought our Jeps because they are Jeeps, but many people
out there are concerned with MPG. Hell, I'd jump on a chance to economically
save a few bucks at the pump as long as performance didn't suffer. But you
and I know that's a pipe dream, some people don't know that. All I say, is
give the guy a break, he's probably new to this. Think back to when you
didn't know a spark plug from a coil. (I'm sure there was a time) Didn't you
want to learn without being flame spayed everytime you asked a question? All
I'm saying is lighten up on the new guys. They, in future, may have valuable
information to offer to the NG.
