Re: Posting the RAMJ+W NG CHARTER!
Like to find one? AMC did make a diesel, it looks just like the
258" but the only ones I can find are in an airplane toter, and doesn't
look like a Jeep.

Re: Posting the RAMJ+W NG CHARTER!
Hi Bill,
Very glad to see a stop to the on-going diesel bun fight and the
obviously off-topic tangents it generates, but I see nothing in the
charter that limits discussion to US-built Jeeps made for the US market.
The charter defines boundaries, but not borders.

"Some things that shouldn't be discussed....
-4 wheel drive vehicles made by other manufacturers."
Actually I believe Daimler fall into the "other" category, they may
be talked about over at Alt.Jeep or Posers.something.

Re: Posting the RAMJ+W NG CHARTER!
Bill, I don't know where it originally came from but when I was
looking for a tranny for the MJ I ran across a guy in Amarillo with an
87 XJ that has a diesel in it - AIR he said it was the Renault POS
and a true gutless wonder - but we thought the tranny would work.
Turned out, it sat in front of an AX-5 which wouldn't stand up to my
4.0 so we dropped it. Like I said, I have no idea where it originally
came from but it was in Texas at that time. so some may have leaked to
the US market.
