The front screws are the main idle mix. Once up in the rpm, it uses the
metering rods in addition.

I 'think' the stepper was still in effect at speed by using the O2
sensor, but wonder about that. There are others here that know the
computer system, maybe one of them will chip in.

The carb needs to be set to best lean mix still, then the computer adds
it's $0.02's worth.

Yes, but... The metering rods inside mechanically and vacuum adjust the
high speed in addition to them so if the idle is too rich, it will be
too rich all the way up.

Yes, the "idle mixture screws" are only for idle mixture. However, get them too
rich and they can affect mixture at higher RPM also.

No. The stepper motor has 2 pins mounted on it. One is for the idle circuit,
the other is for the main circuit.
