Re: Jeep TJ - Does anyone know where i can find 30 spline axle shafts for d35c?
I'd rather have the very best available, but sometimes I have ---- to work
with and have to make the best out of the situation at hand. I think the OPs plan to put a 30-spline in is a good one. Not the best plan, but a good one. "L.W. Re: Jeep TJ - Does anyone know where i can find 30 spline axle shafts for d35c?
Problem is he wants to install 30 spline axles with a No-Slip (not a 30
spline locker.) There's no way to go to 30 spline in a D35, without a 30 spline locker (as in the Super 35 kit). The very first (no longer available) Super 35 kits came with a lock right. Then a Detroit, then OX/Detroit, now ARB/Detroit.....but nowhere was there a No-Slip, so he can't use 30 spline shafts with the No-Slip, even if he could find 30 spline shafts (Superior or Randy's R&P make 'em) Paul On Thu, 05 Aug 2004 14:10:07 -0700, CRWLR wrote: > What are you saying Bill!? > > The 30-spline shafts should give him as close to the strength of the D44 > without actually installing a D44. Re: Jeep TJ - Does anyone know where i can find 30 spline axle shafts for d35c?
Yeah the powertrax No-Slip seemingly replaces the spider gears so new
ones will not be needed. However, with this in mind i was wondering if the no-slip locker for the dana 35c would work with 30 spline shafts, since it was designed probably for 27 spline axle shafts. Comments? |

I don't see how you could have room to cut a bigger "C" clip into
these little spiders: http://----------.com/dana35c/dana35cclip.jpg This site mentions a machined carrier to except the larger axles, and that the carrier became too weak: http://www.4x4wire.com/jeep/reviews/super35d/ God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- http://www.----------.com/ Derek Proctor wrote: > > Yeah the powertrax No-Slip seemingly replaces the spider gears so new > ones will not be needed.
