Re: Jeep Realiability

The Ford family provided the impetus to buy Jaguar in the first place and
aren't likely to see the investment wasted. Actually my friends at PAG say
the '03 S-Type with the ZF gearbox and 4.2 engine, new interior, etc. is the
best car they're building. Unfortunately it's now the car it should have and
could have been at the beginning.

Re: Jeep Realiability

My pal has an X type which I have been in quite a few times; it is heaps
better than a Mondeo, and overall, not a bad car. On the other hand, it
isn't my idea of a Jag. I don't think it will pull the brand down too much.

The S type, I gather, is competent, but it is sooo ugly and has an arse on
it like a fat lady. [ cue Mr Serusa - all Jags are lovely, some more than
others ;) ]. I'm not surprised people aren't buying it.

The XK8 is my favourite - the car that would have trashed its traditional
rival Aston Martin, had it not been now owned by the same owners, and, em,
looked fairly similar !

Ay the home 'o me Great, Great Grandpappy! Actually he was born in Dumfries,
but he headed for Edinburgh as a lad, probably had buggered the Vicar's
daughter or something and needed to get out of town fast! :-)

Have we declared our once and for all independence from England yet?
