Shaggy Shagster! Simma-dow-now! I was only *kidding*!
It absolutely would not be impossible (or stupid) to ride a bike 30 miles to
and from work. I know some guys that do that (when it's nice out) because
they *enjoy* it. That doesn't mean I would expect anyone to do it to just
to save gas. That *would* be stupid.
Reread my message above. I said it would be unAmerican to *not* commute a
long way to work. That means I was calling you *American*. Jeeze. You got
a problem with that?
I have a zero mile commute, so I am the one that doesn't meet the American
norm. But it's not because I'm a tree-hugger, far from it. Heck, I think I
own almost every gasoline powered conveyance and toy available (and in
numbers) and use them all regularly. It's because I could finagle a job
where I don't have to waste the 2 hours a day driving to and from work that
I used to. I value my time much more than $2.00 a gallon gasoline.
By the way, about the only thing you "cleared up" in your reply was that you
have a short fuse and can't derive the context of messages very well.

Anyone that had the least little bit of knowledge about oil, and an
idea as to how to solve it would automatically think Alaskan shelf, no
