Diesel Liberty

Re: Diesel Liberty
I live in Toronto. Not only do we have an insane amount of trucks and
busses on the roads, we have a heavy layer of pollution from Your US
great lakes industrial system covering us.
They have to post a warning in the paper every day for the level of
activity. Today's level is 'moderate', 'mild exposure (to the air in
downtown Toronto) can cause irritation' in 'healthy' people.
I was out in the lake fishing a few years back as the sun came up. We
had a beautiful view of the city until about 8:30 AM. By then it was
just a brown dome with 'no' buildings even slightly visible.

Mike, Did you see the movie ' Men With Brooms" that came out a few years
ago.
It was filmed in Canada, about Canadians, and one of the opening scenes is
at a steel mill with smokestacks belching and in the foreground the dumping
of red hot slag into piles on the ground....

Re: Diesel Liberty
It's a six cylinder, horizontal, diesel engine in the train museum in
Madrid. It has cutouts so one can see how it works internally. They put
them under the passenger cars, and they don't smell too bad, even standing
next to a running one. Probably Mercedes design. No clue as to why you
can't see the picture.
