On my rear bumper it attaches to the cross member in addition to the
frame on each outer side. I pull a little 14 foot flat bottom boat no
problem.

The front dring's work fine for extracting, in fact I use them to flat
tow behind an RV. The rear it states not to, and I wouldnt either.

Up here in Canada they do random and long weekend safety checks all the
time and these cops know their stuff. They would bust you big time if
they saw you towing via your bumper.

On the front bumpers with d-rings you need to be sure and only use one
ring at a time. If you use both at the same time, the lever action can
compress the bumper bending it and the frame into the center. I have
factory tow hooks on the front frame of my Jeep and it warns about this
in the owners manual.

they saw you towing via your bumper.

ring at a time. If you use both at the same time, the lever action can
compress the bumper bending it and the frame into the center. I have

I just got off the phone with Garvin and he specifically said you can
tow 3500 lb gross weight, 300 lb tonque weight. My little boat is
nowhere near this, more like 600 lbs total and 50 tonque.

Good info on the d-rings.
