I don't know how you thought a light bar, tubular side steps, or a hood
cover would keep you from getting stuck.

Yup, statements like that tend to set off my troll alarm....
Reminds me of the troll awhile back about the couple that bought a Rubicon and
compained about the stiff ride over the speed bumps in the local mall parking
lot where they were "testing out all the 4 wheel drive switches and levers."

Speed bumps in local mall parking lot? Hmmm... Rubicon... Speed bumps are
yellow... Oh, I know... They were using it to climb over yellow VW bugs!

Re: Why Jeeps suck.
Ok...
I have posted them at:
alt.binaries.pictures.autos.4x4
I didn't get the ATV flipping, my digital camera was loading the first
shot when he went over and I dropped it and ran to see if he was ok.
Cracked the bikes body shell up bad, but not the driver.
I also posted the one of the tire getting blown off the rim, someone got
it pretty good.

Naw it was a really good April Fools joke that suckered a lot of folks
for two or three weeks.
It was pretty hilarious.
Definitely not a 'troll' post though.

hi mike,
while not minimizing your statements about the flipping, both quads pictured
appear to be honda 400 ex (2wd sport quads). the thing about a 400 ex is
that you can be riding on totally flat ground and hit the throttle hard and
flip backwards. literally :-) the 400ex has a _very_ light front end and
when combined with a torquey engine you can pull the front off the ground in
nearly any gear just by hitting the throttle. i used to ride with a group
that included 3 or 4 of the 400 ex's. i stopped riding with them because
they combine to much alcohol with their high speed antics and i didnt want
to see anybody get hurt or killed (just a matter of time).

Re: Why Jeeps suck.
I didn't know they even made 2 WD ATV's!
There was one bigger one that I didn't get a good photo of. It was a
much 'heavier' looking unit and had no problem walking up that wall.
The one that flipped was a pretty flimsy and light front end one.

Re: Why Jeeps suck.
I would like to point out that if you so kindly go to the JEEPS website, www.jeep.com, you will see that the GC and Liberty is included (I'm sure it's not just to take up space). Then if you take a look at the "trail rated" crap, you will also see the Liberty driving over, through and up everything the Wrangler and GC is. You will also note the Wrangler having trouble getting up the hill (spinning). You will also note the Liberty is the ONLY one of the Jeep products not smacking it's butt on the ground clearance test. In real life. Seen both. Granted, the Wrangler looks more offroad ready then the 4wd toaster but looks isn't everything. Go to www.4x4movies.com, clock on movies, click on rockclimbing then H2 carnige. Goes to show that it looks touch but is a ----- cat. The Lib looks like a cream puff but it will kick butt (and mud) anyday. Nuff said.
