| I'm buying a used pair of nerf bars for my 83CJ. ..this is over the
| internet. "IF" for some unseen reason there are no holes to match up
on the
| frame...is welding an option or would you drill new holes? I hate to
weaking
| the frame by drilling...but not sure if welding on to a rusty frame
is a
| good idea. Not to say the frame is ready to fall apart even in the
next 5
| years...it's fairly solid...possibly average for an 83..maybe a bit
better.
| So what would you guys suggest??

Re: Welding Question
Very difficult to bend (at least mine are), dent, scratch... yes. I'm
pretty sure they would support the whole Jeep. They keep my rocker panels
off rocks and trees... a requirement if you care anything about the body
(and that your doors seal up and fit right). The newer sliders are as
effective and don't stick out like nerfs.
