>>> I just ordered and received a 2.5 qt. Revereware copper-bottom
>>> teakettle from Ace Hardware in NY City. Guess what I got? Cheap
My wife bought a GE (General Electric) microwave, don't know where it was
made, but as soon as I registered the warrantee online I was bombarded by
spam. They sold my info! Fortunately I have a 3rd email address on yahoo
just for things like that.

This is apparantly where these wonderful, renown Brand Name makers are
headed. I have heard too about Singer moving their parts and
manufacturing overseas, and now all of their products are expensive crap.
It's a fact: Revere cookware products are now pure crap. And after
thinking about how crappy this teapot really was, I tossed it into the
trash where it belongs. I don't want a gift recipient thinking badly of
me over a $20 piece of Chinese crap.
I recently bought a Kitchen Aid cookware set at a local department
store. Outstanding quality, but who knows for how long. As it relates
to Jeep parts, I am saddened that SOME are willing to pay for (and
install!) foreign crap.

I will do a search on this; thanks for the advice. A good friend owns a
wonderful, 30-year old Revereware teapot, and I foolishly thought I
would be able to purchase another like it.
To hell with American corporate strategy. They all bitch about
Americans not buying American-made products. Fact is, they're selling
foreign-made CRAP and we refuse to buy.
