Peak inside, you may just have a broken brush spring, and many time
on a straight car starter the solenoid won't make a complete contact,
the three motor poles are isolated, jump them with starter cables to see
if it'll run.

on a straight car starter the solenoid won't make a complete contact,
the three motor poles are isolated, jump them with starter cables to see
if it'll run.
