mic canic did pass the time by typing:
> check the a pillar for cracks and the floor shifter just might be a recall
> issue call your local dealer
For the starting problem:
No recall that I see, just the park/neutral safety switch or link out of whack.
But on that subject there was at least one recall in that area. (Shift interlock)
As for the door:
Could be the crack as mic canic points out or a sheared pin. Check the
door also. Jeep had a series of crappy welds. Don't show any recall data
for that.
