It is irrelevent. The front axle in 2wd really doesn't give a rat's *** if
it is open, locked, or has a limited slip.

My CJ has had the hubs locked for going on 5 years. I seriously can't
remember the last time the hubs were not locked. I have no steering problems
whatsoever. My locked hubs are the exact same condition as in the current
TJs, which is what the original poster was asking about (check out the
subject line).
So, no I don't mean with the hubs unlocked. In 2WD, the front axle doesn't
care if it is locked, open, or has limited slip, no matter the condition of
the hubs - either locked or unlocked (which isn't even an option in a TJ).
Any other questions or thoughts on the matter?
