Re: Though Jeep, Libty is 100% girl car
Individually I may feel sorry for an independent trucker, but if the
truckers hadn't screwed the railroads so royally, neither of the two
might be in as much trouble as they are.

Re: Though Jeep, Libty is 100% girl car
I think one of us is hallucinating and I don't think it was me, but
diesel pumps were pretty much standard in many area gas/fuel stations
other than the traditional truck stops. The specific regions I recall
were in rather "open" territory [having worked at one such] where
stations were still car, truck, and actually offered repair services.

ROTFLMAO!!
Bunker C is a heavy oil that is like tar at room temperature. It's
used by BIG diesel and steam ships and power plants. Even gas turbines
can't handle it, the railroads tried and ate hot sections like popcorn.
The ship diesels have to start on #2 Diesel and switch over unless they
have steam fuel line heaters. I don't think any diesel engine smaller
than 8" bore could run on it. Certainly not a bus.

Particulates and aerosols. Dirty little secret those aerosols that
the diesel folks simply mutter about when asked. Far more damaging
to humans than sucking the exhaust of an Excursion with a leaking
injector.
