The Rubicon Dana 44 shafts are nothing special, they're just the normal D44
axleshafts.

I wondered because I haven't heard of anyone snapping one of the Rubicon D44
axle shafts, despite the factory locker. However a few folks have complained
about breaking the stock TJ D44 shafts.

Are you sure they weren't talking about the Dana 35c axles? Like
can you point to a news group or web site that has the broken the 44, I
have, but it in a spooled very quick '59 Corvette. Bounced of the guard
rail five or six times, ended up sitting on a rail, no glass anywhere.
