CJs don't have a reputation for being well rust-proofed. I guess running a
car in the wet and then putting it in your slightly warmer garage doesn't
help much, plus we do use salt to melt the roads as you said. My Landy,
which had a much thicker chassis than the TJ (and the CJ for that matter)
was only shipped with paint for protection; and that rusted out so badly !
The TJ seems to be doing a lot better so far ; a couple of surface bubbles
on one part of my chassis which have been POR-15'd, but nothing elsewhere
and the body looks perfect. The UJs are the worst looking as they are
shipped unprotected, but I'm sure I'll break them before they rust out.

help much, plus we do use salt to melt the roads as you said. My Landy,
which had a much thicker chassis than the TJ (and the CJ for that matter)
was only shipped with paint for protection; and that rusted out so badly !

I don't know about that but I can tell you that skiing every day is boring.
It's too bad too, because it's still fun. Sometimes I wish I had one of
those personalities that allows one to race, or ski, or fish every day, all
day. Then again I have talked to people like this and strangely they are no
fun to be with.

We are all weekend warriors, some more serious than others. Can you do
offroading professionally ? Suspect it might be a bit boring every day.
As for picking on Rubicon owners because of the way they react, you pick on
anyone who will react - the Rubicon bit has nothing to do with it !

Just think of Earle as our resident troll with a human side, somewhere
