Oh yea.. North of Amarillo are the Helium wells and processing plant.
There is also a HUGE meat packing plant there and power plant.
Guessing by the lack of stacks it's probably gas fired.
Lots of farming too.

Texas is a hell hole. I have been over the whole state, and have yet to
find a part of it that I enjoyed or even wanted to return to. By far the
worst thing about Texas, is the fact that it is filled with Texans. On my
many cross-country journeys, the part that I least looked forward to was
crossing Texas. Once you have seen the Alamo and Cadillac ranch, you are
done. Go to Montana.

I never met a Texan I didn't like, right down hospitable. But the
land is boringly flat in all directions for one thousand miles. Filled
with giant fling bugs. And miserably cold or extremely hot with a wet
bulb to match.

I never met a Texan I didn't like, right down hospitable. But the
land is boringly flat in all directions for one thousand miles. Filled
with giant fling bugs. And miserably cold or extremely hot with a wet
bulb to match.

I've lived there a few years and am heading back for a couple more next
year. Anything south of Austin can go back to Mexico as far as I'm
concerned (lived in San Antonio..). Austin is a great town (albeit too
packed) and DFW isn't that bad either.
Maybe Texas isn't the problem... are you serious or just a troll? I've met
some of the nicest people there.

Yeah, Montana is where all the Texans that are too grouchy for
Texas go. Odd, I never yet met a Texan I didn't like, much
like a Montanan, you are very likely to know pretty much where
you stand in the first few minutes and if you shoot off your
mouth much you are likely to be asked to prove it or shut up.
And the women in Texas.... ymmmmm, altho they do tend to throw
ashtrays when pissed off.

Yeah, Montana is where all the Texans that are too grouchy for
