At first I thought the same thing about the Texans when I first moved there.
But after living in central TX for three years (we just moved here to
Montana 1.5 yrs ago from there), I realized it's not the Texans that are the
problem. It's all the jackasses that move there from somewhere else that is
the problem. Get out away from around the cities and meet some real Texans.
They will do just about anything for you, and are good people in my book.
No offense meant to anybody, but the REAL Texans were a hell of a lot
friendlier than what I've seen up here so far.
It wasn't that bad living there either, really, looking back on it now.
Jobs were more plentiful, the wages were higher (at least in my field), and
the cost of living was lower than here. But there are more outdoor type
things to do here, and there are seasons. It really all depends on what YOU
make of a location. Stay optimistic and you can be happy anywhere. You can
have fun in any place if you try. :-) Just my point of view.
