Going between neutral and 4-LO can cause ulcers at times if a little
gear grinding bothers you <g>. Anything above a slow walk or trying
it with an auto tranny makes it the luck of the draw whether it goes
like silk or sounds like a teenager trying his first shift with a
clutch. No synchros, just teeth being pushed into some notches. 2WD
to 4HI is spec'd (for mine) as being at "any legal speed" while 4HI to
4LO says only below something like 2 mph.
