Re: Out of 4wd Hard
For sure!
My tub is a 2 layer tub with 1" waterproof plywood sandwiched in-between
the floor layers. It has diamond plate sandwiched in the firewall.
I had to take back all the high grade stainless bolts I bought for
bolting anything to the floor or even to the back top wheel well flats,
I thought it would be an inch and 3/4's, but the glass was way thicker
than 3/8 per layer so 2.5" extra just fit with a washer. I even had to
suck some stuff down first, then back it off and add the thin stainless
washer after.
I was/still am impressed.
The gent that made my tub here in Ontario Canada did a sweet job in my
opinion. I have even flipped it doing 20 mph in snow and only cracked
the glued seam where the firewall meets the floor pan.
I did knock it almost a 1/2" sideways on the mounts though. That only
took a 1/2 hour and my big tree in my driveway with a come a long winch
on the roll bar to fix... :-)

Rust is sorta reddish. Perhaps you are mistaking
termite poop....
Shades of the Morgans.

Re: Out of 4wd Hard
The definition of fear for a Morgan owner is to be flat out on a twisty road
and see a termite crawling along the dashboard. (Flat out would be about 50
mph.)
