Hi Kevin,
Really. I remember it well because at the time I had an open end
prescription to vicodin: http://www.----------.com/vicodin.jpg and would
sneak in a six pack every once in a while. I use to travel the road
daily in high school, my brother still lives within a mile of it with
this home: http://www.----------.com/jerrhome.jpg

You sound like one of the 'old school'. Many years ago, NJ permitted
apprentice pharmicist and I was fortunate enough to work for an old
Rabbi (I was the only gentile in the store <g>) who stressed this no
end. His position was that the customers are out neighbors and we
were the last line of defense between them and the doctors. Since we
still had a lot of MD's writing compounding scripts it was very common
to not only consult with the patient but to contact the doctor to make
sure he knew what he was asking for. Very interesting trade - one of
our fill-in pharmicists was director of research for Merck at the time
- but staying in it would have meant staying in Jersey for another 10
years or so and that was out of the question!
Even with all the personal consulting, we still got cases like the gal
who stormed in one day and slapped her medication on the counter
complaining about how she had followed the directions exactly but when
she got up that morning it had just fallen out on the floor - a
vaginal suppository still in the original foil wrapper! OUCH!

Hanging in there thanks....
Knee is messed up, maybe a split cartilage, they are going to let that
ride for a while, then go in with a scope to asses the damage. Doctor
figures that is the least of my worries.
My neck and head are in some 'trouble'. I start physiotherapy on the
neck tomorrow, the doctors are worried about the pinched nerves in my
chest and arm because they don't know if I couldn't breath because of
the neck or the hit in my head. He was tossing around words like
quadriplegic.... If he didn't want me to go off roading anywhere, he
could have just said so rather than scare the crap out of me.... :-(
Have blood clot in my brain issues that showed up on a CT scan and had
dozens of x-rays this week in prep for an MRI. Had a metal splinter in
my eye cornea years ago and they x-rayed the ---- out of it to hopefully
see it was all taken out or I have to have eye surgery before the MRI.
Can't get in to see a neurologist until August 27th unless my headache
level or symptoms change. They figure the damage has been done I
guess....
Can't drive the Cherokee right now, the seating position makes my left
arm go dead in a couple minutes. As a passenger I am ok. I can drive
the CJ7 for short drives, I sit up straight in it and my arm doesn't
mess up.
It is going to be one long boring summer.....
