Oh I will ask for sure. There are some real nice back country lakes
that the loggers have been close to so the trail in can now even be done
by mini van. If I can't work, my Jeep, canoe and I want to be way out
of the big city....
After yesterday, I will for sure take his recommendation for timing.
Having my chest seize up was no fun at all...

I have to go back in Tuesday and plan on raising particular hell,
especially as the two or three doctors last night said they 'didn't
know' what kind of internal damage they were seeing in the CT scan.
They really quizzed me on any previous head injuries. I have 'never'
had a head injury before. When the doctors are worried, well.... I
still haven't stopped shaking.
I will be contacting the doctors before I go back in to get their 'push'
for fast testing too.

Wow, I thought our health care system was @$%&, but yours sounds worse. Good
luck Mike, it sounds very frustrating.

Re: Crap, I was a passenger in a T-bone hit, on my side..
Hey........
the fact that you are able to type this post is sort of good news. As
everyone else, am hoping for a successful recovery. This is not the time to
rush things - do it right the first time. You have my e-mail address. If I
can be of any assistance info-wise - don't hesitate. I'm a pharmacist - not
a doctor - but I have access to professional literature, friends, etc - If I
don't know it, I'll do my best to find it.

the fact that you are able to type this post is sort of good news. As
everyone else, am hoping for a successful recovery.

Re: Crap, I was a passenger in a T-bone hit, on my side..
Thanks Carlo.
You are right, it could be way worse.
If they stick me on any drug or anything, I will for sure ask.
They don't want me on anything stronger than advil or tylenol right now.

Re: OT: Crap, I was a passenger in a T-bone hit, on my side.. Thanks all!
As Mike pointed out, our health care here in not only Toronto but Ontario
sucks the big weenie (that's *&^%, NOT our bumbling P.M, who thought the
1976 Olympics were held in 1967...sorry different rant.)
It is now the policy that the only time a cop or ambulance will be
dispatched to an accident is if there is either people trapped in cars,
suitable amount of blood, fire trucks requested, intersections or roads
(highways) blocked or any entrance to Tim Horton's Donuts rendered
impassable.
All parties involved in any accident are to have there vehicles taken to an
accident reporting station (by either tow truck or driven under there own
power) to have the damaged assessed and reports written.
And everybody wonders why car insurance in Ontario has increased 60% in the
last 3 years..
