I think it's the lack of meds more so than bad meds. He got sucked in to
the whole netcop thing and let it go to his head, and now for some
reason he just can't let it go. What he needs to do is shut the computer
off for a few weeks, and take the family on a vacation or something.
I think there are probably enough good forums out there that the good
people here could migrate to, but if enough people felt that a moderated
forum would be the answer, I would be willing to help get one set up. I
have set up a few commercial forums in the past, but it has been a while.

It has sure changed in 10 years. Folks from here used to get together
for RAMJ+W runs, this Usenet group had high quality T-shirts made, one
of which I am wearing right now, hats made, etc...
I'll bet I have met over 50 folks from this group on runs I organized,
from day trips to take folks out to play and learn what their 4x4 can
do, especially come first snow, to 10 day Deep Canadian Bush runs with
folks from all over North America showing up.
RAMJ+W has even made the local papers as an 'organized' Internet group
involved in local off road area clean ups. 'WE' RAMJ+W, had 20 vehicles
average show up each weekend for 3 weekends on that clean up. We even
got a 'good' writeup as a Jeep Group in the Land Rover Magazine.
Most of these folks have given up on the group.
Oh well it was nice while it lasted and my family and I have met some
great people from here that have remained good friends with us.

Re: OT - 225 and counting :-(
It has sure changed in 10 years.

I use Google groups so I see it all too.
I've read and learned a lot here the past 6 years of owning my Jeep.
I've turned to moderated forums and have learned a great deal in these
forums as well.
Too bad its turned out this way.
I'm only reading/posting here now as I'm curious how long this can go
on?
Its been much longer than I expected. :-(
