I gotta tell you Bill, if you had heard of Hollander you probably could have
cut that fifty years of trial and error down to about 30, and had the other
as 20 years of trial and success. <G>

Hi Jeff,
Maybe, that's what the junk yard man used to tell me the the '96
4.0 Ranger V6 was a direct bolt-in to my 78 Mustang II:
http://www.hollander-auto-parts.com/about/ after changing the timing
chain cover and pan. But then, I have the internet now.

There were a couple more threads that involved that discussion. At the risk
of rehash, first you said not just D-C, but no one makes a D44 that supports
ABS, evidence was presented that in the aftermarket, at least one
manufacturer did, then since you didn't believe that you presented challenge
after challenge, spin after spin to that fact..."you could only have ABS on
that axle if you convert to disk brakes," "tone rings are mounted inside the
axletube," "tone ring was welded on," all seemingly in an effort to save
face when presented with facts that show you were fundamentally incorrect in
your original assumption.
It's OK, though, those of us that know you know what to expect :-)
