open letter to rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys
As a new Jeep owner, I searched for a newsgroup that could contribute
advice, talent, and humor to my new hobby. rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys is a great site for just that. The problem is this: there is a person, while incredibly talented and knowledgable, regularly flames honest folks who mean no harm. I spent a few short minutes cutting and pasting different flames from this person, attached below (only one was addressed to me). It's not that I have a thin skin, but is this type of thing representative of Jeepers-at-large? I hope not. Enjoying the advice without the bigotry would be really great. Randy ================= You ask us not to flame you, then you tell us the biggest f**kin' lie I have ever heard. I guess a plug could cause preignition if it were the wrong spark plug, with a way too hot heat range! Total Bullsh*t! I hope you got the right heat range this time, like if it's too cold, it'll misfire, washing the oil from your cylinders, diluting your oil, destroying what's left of your engine. God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- http://www.----------.com/ ========================== Go back to school little girlie boy, you don't' want to be stupid all your life. God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- http://www.----------.com/ =========================== Maybe, a grownup will let you open their barbecue bottle, enough for you to prove the high school experiment. Wear gloves and eye protection. God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- http://www.----------.com/ ========================= Jeff, you're an a**hole too! God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- http://www.----------.com/ ======================== God, you are stupid. Really, really stupid, most people are just ignorant, when they don't know what they're talking about, but you're not capable of learning, dangerously stupid! God Bless America, ßill O|||||||O mailto:-------------------- http://www.----------.com/ ====================== Geez, learn to snip! Awww come on guys. Bill can be a crusty old grouch, but he arguably
posts more good information than the rest of the group combined. As much as I disagree with him much of the time, I'm pretty sure he would be number 1 on my list if I were ever in San Diego and just wanted to shoot the breeze. twaldron proclaimed: > Become familiar with your Filter settings. > > flyairam@juno.com wrote: > >> As a new Jeep owner, I searched for a newsgroup that could contribute >> advice, talent, and humor to my new hobby. >> rec.autos.makers.jeep+willys is a great site for just that. >> >> The problem is this: there is a person, while incredibly talented and >> knowledgable, regularly flames honest folks who mean no harm. >> >> I spent a few short minutes cutting and pasting different flames from >> this person, attached below (only one was addressed to me).
